Frequently asked questions
Is backup the same as disaster recovery?
No. Backup protects data so it can be restored. Disaster recovery keeps whole systems ready to run elsewhere within hours. Many customers use both.
Can we restore files ourselves?
Yes. You can restore files, folders and mailboxes from the Client Portal, or ask our engineers to do it for you.
Where are the backups stored?
In BG‑SOF‑1 in Sofia, on storage separate from production systems. Backup data never leaves the EU.
Does this cover the 3-2-1 rule?
Yes, together with your production data. Backups on our storage plus an immutable copy give you three copies on two types of storage, with one kept off your site.
